FS/FT Custom 1987 Blue Warwick Thumb NT

Sign in to disble this ad
Well Im selling my 1987 Warwick Thumb Nt. Bubinga budy, wenge and bubinga neck. Its in great shape for its age, the neck is the slimmest I have ever felt on any bass. This is saying a lot considering all the knocks against the necks on Warwicks. The pickups and paint job are after market, but they are done in up-most quality. The pickups are status graphite hyperactives, with a coil tap switch. The side fret LEDs are not working, they have been like this since i bought the bass. There are also some chips in the paint job.

Im asking $1400 but am negotiable. In terms of trades, i would really really love some type of trade with a stingray involved, and i would trade up for a modulus flea in which i would pay cash plus the trade, and be interested in any other modulus. I would also entertain offers of 6 string basses, like a 6 string corvette. pm with any offers and we can discuss.

Is that 3 battery compartments on the back of the bass? are they "Original"? What are they for?

Could you add a few more pic's?

Headstock, Tuners, Fingerboard, opened cavities on the back, etc...

after further review i realized that one battery compartment has been modified to fit two 9 votls. Here are plenty of more pictures with some sunlight.

Here are some pictures of the fretboard, I put some lemon oil on it to bring out the wood, to let you see how beautiful the wenge is.

This is some of the finish ware alonge the pickup and bridge line.

The controls are the standard you would usually have on a warwick without them being push pull/ bass, treble, volume, pickup. with a coil tap switch, that brings in to use the final knob which helps blend and boost depending on where the tap is selected.
