FS/FT: Custom "Spy vs. Spy" EBMM Stingray SLO Special HH w/ Matching HS!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!

Up for grabs is my custom "Spy vs. Spy" Stingray SLO Special HH white with matching headstock and Stealth hardware & PUPs.

This is not a re-finish on a Stealth. This is a Stealth hardware/PUP swap-out on a white/rosewood/white 'Ray SLO (right down to the 5-way selector switch screws) and is in fantastic condition, as is the OHSC (original Case Candy included). Not a scratch, ding, dent, swirl, or fingerprint on her.

9.8 lbs on my digital shipping scale.

Currently loaded with DR Black Beauts. Hipshot Xtender not included. Original Music Man tuner wiill be re-installed.

Great playing and sounding instrument with a variety of tonal options.

All said, I'm looking for $1400 $1195 shipped (ConUS only) or straight trade for a Bi Gal 4 or 5 SSS or a Stingray Classic Series 5'er (only).

Order of Preference:
CASH !
EBMM Classic Series 'Ray 5
EBMM Bi Gal 5-SSS
EBMM Bi Gal 4-SSS

Piccies:

Thanks for looking!

I said this the last time this bass was posted here. One of the coolest damn looking basses I've ever seen. Way too rich for my blood unfortunately

That last one was a Simms re-fin of a standard 'Ray Stealth 4-H/Rosewood. This is a hardware swap on a brand new SLO. And considering the investment and logistics involved in getting this look, $1400 is a very reasonable asking price AFAIC. This should be a no-brainer for anyone who's ever considered doing this as the leg-work is already done.

Sorry for the obvious question, but what does it weigh? (One of my stupidest non-moves of 2011 was not buying your black SLO Special that sold locally in Boston.)

Well then both look awesome! And apologies if you interpreted my comment as saying your asking price was too high. Was just saying I can't afford it! Great bass.

No, I got what you were saying. Forgot to replace the smiley when I edited.

I'll weigh it tonight, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say 9.5lbs.

That was worth re-quoting...

Would you take two slightly effeminate Bongos?

If you haven't owned an SLO before, it is worth any amount of pissed-off spouse...two-times over. I speak from experience!!

+1 The cherry on the top for this would have been one of those special issue ebony necks, but I digress... this is beautiful in its own right!

I completely agree! With that said though, this is a really dark board.

Ok, I've settled on a new axe and could use the dough to partially fund it. Let's move this! $1195 shipped ConUS!

SOOOOOLLLD and heading out to the left coast!

While I'm here, if anyone is interested in a brand new STEALTH Stingray SLO HS with EBONY board for the same price ($1195), PM me while I get the thread ready.

This is in brand-spanking new condition, strung with DR Red Devils, and includes OHSC with original case candy.
