This lovely axe needs no introduction. It’s a featherweight, fanned-fret thing of beauty. However, right now I feel like each of my axes needs to bring something unique to the table and despite its best efforts, the Dinger hasn’t been able to unseat my trusty Q5 as my go-to 5er – though that’s no fault of the Dingwall’s!
Natural finish – the alder body wings are very well-matched. The pickguards available through Bass Central could really make the look of this axe pop, imo.
Weighs in at 8.4 pounds – light!
A note for folks on the fence RE: the fanned frets. Everything the Dingwall advocates say is true – your hand will fall naturally into place and in 5 minutes you will not even notice the fanning. Switching back and forth between traditional and fanned-frets poses no problem. What you will notice is the amazing tone and strong fundamentals across all the strings, from top to bottom. The “B” in “B string” stands for “Bowel-shaking” in this case. Truly amazing tone and playability.
Asking $1100 shipped CONUS, well-packed in a worn (read: ugly) but serviceable HSC.
Trades: I can do +/- cash on my end or yours for the right trade.
Primarily interested in P/J four strings, with some exceptions.
• Spector Euro 4/NSCR 4 P/J’s.
• Hot-rodded Fender P/J’s (USA pref.) or American Deluxe P's
• Warwick Streamer P/J’s.
• Warwick Thumb B.O. (possibly)
• USA G&L L2ks (points if it already has an East pre installed

)
• Stingray/Sterling/Bongo HS
Honestly, I’ll consider any reasonable cash or trade offer. Worst I can do is say "No, thanks."
