If you search, the DiPinto Belvedere Hollowbody basses are highly regarded here on TB. There's something unique about the DiPinto that makes me use it most in live settings. It's tone is hard to describe as it is aggressive and defined, not hi-fi, but not dark either. They are hot enough that on direct-to-board applications, I always had enough headroom from the passive electronics (which sadly, wasn't the case w/ my Lakland Hollowbody). I always felt it was like a really aggro jazz bass shoved into a hollowbody. If you have played one, perhaps you know what I'm talking about. Sadly, my current gig just doesn't call for this bass, and I'd rather see someone playing it.
These feature 2 hot single coils, 34 inch scale, ebony fretboard, black back and sunburst top, 24 frets, jazz type neck (1.5 inches at the nut), and good intonation from the long scale. You will notice some dust in the headstock photo (sorry, that's not in the finish), and that I stuffed some foam under the trapeze tailpiece to deal with an intermittent rattle that seems to come and go-it never picks up through the amp, but I just wanted to lay it all out there. These really are a great deal for their build and tonal quality.
I have no case or gig bag, but will double box and ship it out right. I'm also throwing in a nice padded leather strap. PRICE DROPPED! - $350 shipped within the lower 48 States (I will ship to Canada for a bit more $) - OBO (or the right trade). Paypal is ideal. Thanks.

Thanks.

Wish I was in the market for a new one. | DiPinto is very similar to Lakland in that they have their instruments made overseas in Korea and then they go through final assembly & set up in Philadelphia, PA.
They used to make some instruments in the US like Lakland, but now it's limited to a custom shop that will modify the electronics, finish, pickguards and the like.
New they sell for $782 direct from DiPinto in Philly, and $595 from the online shops.

I played one of these in DiPinto's shop in Philadelphia as well as meeting Chris DiPinto. Great bass designed/built by a great guy...this is where I wish I had the money because I'd buy this right up.

Good luck with the sale. |

String it with steels, crank the controls, play it with a pick and tear faces off! String it with flats, use the neck pickup, roll back the tone, stuff some foam under the strings, play with your thumb by the neck... Thump City!
Seriously, if I had the cash, this thread would have been closed a few days ago!!
