Tough times. Having to put this one up for sale again.

Aside from a neck repair up towards the headstock which was professionally repaired (and quite well I might add) this old Kay is in remarkable shape. Nothing plays and sounds quite like these old Kays. Getting harder and harder to come by and they now go in the $2500 plus range. Much lower price to compensate for the repair - $1500 shipped in the continental US. Comes in a very nice Kay reissue HSC.

Do you mean this very bass, or one exactly like it?

Sorry for the confusion, I owned one exactly like it.
a guitar store in upstate NY had it in pieces in a chipboard case, i bought it for less than $100 dollars and had it reassembled.
yours is much nicer than mine was.
after i bought that (they thought it was old junk) they thought they had a live one and showed my some of their other "junk" stored in the attic.
My other purchase: FOUR Silvertone/Danalectro 1140's- the guitar with the tube amp built in to the case. for $50 apiece! The couldn't believe that I wanted them.

They've been out of business for many years.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SALE- IT IS A BEAUTIFUL BASS!
