Up for sale is my newly acquired Olive Gold EBMM Big Al 4SSS w/OHSC.
This thing is absolutely beautiful. As always, Ernie Ball comes through with a tight fit, finish, and craftsmanship. There is some minor swirling on the pick guard but that is really about it.
It plays great and sounds great with a wide array of tonal options. It can be ran in active mode with any combination of the 3 pickups active. It can also run in full passive mode with any combo of the 3 coils active.
The case is in pristine condition.
The price is $1400 paypal'd/shipped CON/US
Trade Bait
EBMM dargie 4's (Stingray, Bongo, BigAl SSS)
Rick 4003 (fireglo preferred)
Pics! (these are from the tb'er I got the bass from 2 months ago. It hasn't left my practice room since they were taken and it is in the exact same shape. All I have for a camera is my phone and it wouldn't do this bass justice)

Why should EBMM follow the herd when it actually IS the 21st Century? This one is a beauty, non-trad colors and shape but a really gorgeous job of packaging. I wish I wasn't knee deep in basses or I'd love to play this one. |

I ended up with a stingray and it was OK. They are really a one trick pony though and I wanted something more well rounded. Later on I decided to get one of these and try it out. I am just in love with the sounds these things can make. The only reason i'm selling this is so I can have the funds for then a Dargie Big Al 4SSS comes on the market.
I have owned and extensively played the Stingray, Bongo, and Big Al, in the H, HH, and SSS configurations and this is by far my favorite of the lot. I've also giving a G&L2500 a shot, but it just doesn't stand up.

Its not quite as fat (read thick) as a Fender neck. They are fast player for sure, and the actions can go way down without having fret buzz.
I'm not too familiar with things outside of the EBMM families. So maybe someone with a bit more rounded on all makes/models could chime in?

| | Resistance is not futile -- it's voltage/current. | | | | | Boy, this is a beauty! The Big Al is an incredible bass. Someone is going to get a deal here.
