Decided to repost because the last thread was cluttered and my desires have changed slightly.
Still up for sale/trade is a MINT condition EBMM Bongo 5 in cabernet pearl, with two humbuckers and the piezo bridge. I custom ordered this bass for $1800 last July and received it in November. I quickly found out that I loved the feel but the tone was not at all what I was expecting. Custom orders cannot be returned so now my loss is your gain.
I would prefer a trade, but I'll let it go outright for: $1600
I know the value of my bass and I know the value of basses out there so money will be added on either side if need be. I also love pedals/preamps so those can work as good trade bait. Here's a list of things that I'm really interested in at the moment:
-G&L L-2000 (This is numero uno on my GAS list)
-USA built Jazzes and P's (I prefer the P's to have a second pup)
-Thunderbirds
-Rickenbackers
I'm really open to all offers, so if you're hesitant please run it by me because this bass isn't getting the playing time it needs and I'd like to get something I'll be playing. One final note, I WILL NOT SHIP FIRST. I am extremely hesitant of just sending my bass away even with all the available securities. I live in southeastern Iowa and I am willing to drive a couple hours to meet in person and would strongly prefer an in person trade. This is my only firm stipulation so please respect it. Once again, send me an offer and we can most likely work something out.
