FS/FT EBMM Sterling 5 HH white/maple *near mint* (Canada)

I have one too many 5-strings so this has got to go. Born date from the EBMM forum is July 7 2008. Excellent bass, great neck, sits in the mix really well, lots of tones on tap. Nice creamy white finish with a vintage white pearl guard, looks classy. Condition is flawless except for very light normal playing wear and 4 small nicks along the top edge of the headstock. Specs:

Weight: 11 lbs
Scale Length: 34"
Neck Radius: 11"
Frets: 22 - High profile, wide
Neck Width: 1-3/4" at nut 2-3/4"" at last fret
3-band active preamp; vol, treble, mid, bass
Switching: 5-way lever pickup selector
Pickups: Dual Humbucking with ceramic magnets
Strings: DR DDT 45-125

I'm the second owner, asking what I paid for it:

$1200 plus shipping. Comes with the OHSC. Paypal.

These are the only trades I would be interested in:

- Sterling 5 HS
- Stingray 4 HS
- Stingray 4 H with 2-band preamp
- early production G&L L-2000E

Would prefer to trade inside Canada to avoid import duty, but will make an exception for something really nice.

Very, very nice bass. I love white SRs.

FYI - if you took another EBMM on trade there wouldn't be any import duties as they are made in the U.S.A. You would, however, have to pay the GST and PST. Even if it was an almost even trade. Been there, done that. I even appealed to Revenue Canada saying we had traded, no money was exchanged. They denied my appeal.

I might considering trading you the Sting Ray in the photo. It is a 2009. Mint shape. No dings or dents. Let me know if you have any interest in it.

Hey man thanks for the offer. Customs charges 13% HST (in Ontario) on the declared value of the item, plus a handling fee. They don't care where it comes from or weither or not any money was exchanged. Technically that isn't duty but it feels like duty when you pay it.

That's a nice ray, but I really want to try the HS pickup version. They are hard to find.

PM's replied.

To be clear about the headstock nicks - they are too small to show in photos. I never noticed them until the first time I changed strings on it.
