First thing is First MIA Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling..Love love love this bass, but the sound doesn't work for what I do. It's been gigged with for sure, little nicks, dings, and battle scars. Most notable is near the controls, then one near the cavity cover on the back, and one on the bottom of the back right side. Small cracks in the finish on body and near the neck. Some little dings and nicks on bass and the headstock. I purchased this used from a shop, and it was the owner's personal bass, so I thought was a fun backstory. Aside from cosmetics, this bass is awesome! Just that the band I'm in is like a dirty blues, rock, country -ish mix and this just isn't hitting the sound I want for myself.
Sounds great, I've had both flats and rounds on it, it's a beastly slap machine for sure. EQ's are all great. The neck is smooth as most MM's are, never had any neck problems either. No buzz or anything of that nature. Everything is pretty fine and dandy with it, just isn't my sound. My preference is with flats, but then I like a darker, thumpier sound. Which brings me to what I'm looking for in trade...
I'd truly love to be able to trade for a USA Fender P or Jazz...or PJ, I worked so hard to get my first US bass it'd be a bummer to go back down. I'm looking for a Precision but prefer a smaller neck. I know there's Pbass Deluxe basses P body Jazz neck, and I REALLY dig those a lot! In essence I'm looking for a Pbass sound with a smaller than Pbass neck. The Lakland Duck Dunns look to be that too, but I doubt anyone would trade one of those beauties. I'd prefer to stay in the actives, but would move to passive for something nice. I love both 4 and 5 string basses.
Basses I like:
Pbass deluxe
Marcus Miller Jazz (I know it's not a Pbass, but they're so sexy)
Duck Dunn
...to name a few. I believe a bass should be as sexy to the owner's eye as it is to his/her ear.
I'm willing to trade down+cash if it comes to that. But I'm afraid(as much as I want to) I cannot afford to trade up.
Asking $700+shipping to US (I'm willing to travel a short bit to meet up for a face to face sale too)
Comes with Hard foam Roadrunner case, and will also include the new Dunlop Nickle plated strings that I tossed on for a couple weeks.
Please, please, please feel free to PM with any questions or offers.
...thought I could attach more pictures. I'll add more tomorrow once I figure out how to put them in the message itself, sorry.

I guess the official color is a transparent orange, but to me ive always seen it as a honey-ish color. Hate to see it go, I do love love love it...but I really want to get the right bass for my music and me. |

But from some lite research of similar ones it looks like possibly early-mid 90's. Which seems quite probably. Not to mention the neck feels kind of worn in and SOOO nice. One of the best necks I've played anyway. I've personally liked the satin feel though, very smooth.
As for weight. I haven't a scale so, again research leads me to see 9.6lbs a lot.
Haha I guess I'm not very prepared for information, on this one. I apologize. So I'll add a couple more pics
I took a pic of the worst ding on it. And of course the headstock so you know I'm not telling fables. |

Looking USA Fender P
Lakland Glaub/Dunn
Similar trades.
Thanks so much for looking!
