FS/FT: Elrick Hybrid Evolution PJ 4

Sign in to disble this ad
Elrick Evolution Hybrid 4 with Bart PJ pickups, 3 band Bart preamp.
35" scale. 7.8 lbs. Comes with a nice G&G case.
Beautiful Lacewood top on this one. Perfect, new condition aside from a light scratch on the back of the lower horn.
I really feel most at home on a 5 string these days, unfortunately.

Decided to put this up for an outright sale: Asking $1900 shipped OBO.

Potential trades: fretted 35" 5 strings with 19mm spacing. Something like an Elrick, F bass, MTD, Lakland.

More pics available on request.

Sorry, I don't have any sound clips, nor do I have a way to record the instrument.

IMO it does the P thing pretty well, and with the J pickup soloed it does the J bass growl sound to some extent. The J pickup is further from the bridge than your standard J bass. The Barts definitely have their own vibe, but overall the sound is very warm and organic, with the midrange presence that Elricks are known for. This is by far my favorite 4 string bass ever, and if it had one more string it would see 100% of my gigs.

It's a killer bass but it's not seeing time on stage so I'd rather pass it along to someone who will use it.
