FS/FT: FBass BN5 in Black Ceruse finish with Macc Ebony board

Greetings fellow TBers!

Just picked this one up a couple of months back. While it's a great bass and everything that you'd expect from an F, it's just not my cup o' tea. Specifically, the neck's a bit too wide for my hands (19mm spacing at bridge). I'm continuing to have problems with a left thumb injury plus age is starting to creep up on me faster and faster, so I've been whittling down my basses to the few that fit me best. Hate it, but this one's just gotta go.

Here's a link to the thread where I bought it with pix. One thing though, I hate to say it, but the description in the link is a bit light. I'd more accurately describe it as a "player's bass in good condition". It has it's share of dents, dings, and scratches. Nothing that affects playability or tone, of course, but if you're looking for a showpiece, this one isn't it. However, if you ARE looking for an affordable FBass that plays great and sounds great, THIS IS THE BASS! The Macc Ebony board is a big plus, and not particularly common, I think. Also, aside from the pix shown, I scotchbrited the fingerboard and applied a number of coats of lemon oil, so the grain of the ebony "pops" much better now than in the link.

Trades? You bet! I'm looking for 5-strings ONLY, no longer than 34.5" scale, less than 9 pounds, no maple fretboards, and less than 19mm spacing at bridge. NO WARWICKS or SPECTRES/SSD please. I'll do even trades for higher-end basses or trades plus your cash if you'd like to move up to an FBass. Short list of things I like: Pedulla MVP5 and Thunderbass/ET5, a 34" Lull, Benavente, Valenti, Hanewinkel, Nordy, and I'm sure I'll think of some more later.

Comes with the F Bass gig bag in good/very good condition.

Quite a bit of interest on this and multiple PMs returned. Couple of cash offers and a really nice trade offer. Keep 'em coming....but don't wait too long. That said, I'm in no hurry to sell, so please no low-balls! It doesn't fit me that bad. Plus I gigged it last night and I LOVE THE TONE! I may just have to work thru the pain. LOL!

Hey, the bass may show some wear, but for those of us who are not sticklers for cosmetics, this is a great deal for this bass! Good luck with the sale...someone is going to get a killer deal!

Hey guys and gals!

Well, I didn't figure that it would last long....and it didn't. Overnight, I got firm commitment from a TBer that first contacted the day the ad went up. He also sent earnest money to hold the bass pending transfer of the remaining funds. Dollars in hand talk loudest, dontcha know?

Bass is officially ON HOLD until 23 OCT 12, although I should receive payment before then.

Appreciate all the interest. If buyer decides against the deal (and I've offered the option), I will repost later next week. I'll keep ad open until bass ships. Until then, thanks for playing.

Actually, it shipped to the buyers friend here in the States, then to Italy. He only got it a couple weeks ago.
