FS/FT FBB Fretted 7 w/Audere

Sign in to disble this ad
FBB # 1112-06, 35" scale fretted 7, 18mm spacing at bridge, Hipshot hardware, FBB custom pickups, Audere Z preamp, passive by-pass switch to VOL only. 5A quilted maple top, African Mahogony back, 5 piece rock maple/bloodwood neck-through.

This is a serious bass, my main player for the past 4 years. It is a working bass, so it has some minor bruising but nothing significant (no gouges, chips, etc), mostly just some mojo funk from working hard. Currently strung with LaBella flats (.029-.049-.069-.089-.109-.128) six set with a high F SIT .018 plain steel.

Direct purchase $2,000 shipped lower 48.

In terms of trades, only two things I'm looking for:

(1) Fretless 5 (or 6) string acoustic/electric or semi-acoustic. Doesn't matter whether it's lined or not.

(2) Fretless 8 string (single course) .... highly unlikely, but I'll put it out there anyhow

Trade plus cash in either direction, depending on what the trade offer is. For trades, everyone takes care of their own shipping.

Wow, a lot of people looking for trades

I've gotten some VERY nice trade offers, I really appreciate everyone understanding the quality of this bass and offering something up of equal coolness ......

While there have been several tempting things, nothing is quite right so far. But don't hesitate to suggest trade bait, or you can simply cough up the cash ...

Thanks to all for the interest ....

Couple of quick clarifiers:

I'm looking to move away from this bass for two reasons. First, I was in a pretty bad car accident that has resulted in some long term damages to my upper and lower spine. I can no longer stand up and play for any length of time, and a lot of what I used this fretted 7 for required me to stand. And second, this is the only fretted bass I own and since I basically play fretless the great majority of the time, as beautiful as this axe is I just don't need it any longer ...

And yes, some of the trade bait has been amazing ... on paper, some of the deals make great sense, but in real life they wouldn't be of any use to me. However, I am open to suggestions, just don't be upset if I pass on the deal ...

Yes, PayPal is fine ....
