Ive had this bass for nearly 10 years and its been amazing..about 1.5 years ago i got into upright and have since played it maybe a few hours
basically this bass is setup for a jacophile, and i dont have the original neck (traded it to have the warmoth setup professionally and some other work on my other bass..wish i hadnt..) but IMO this bass is the best of both worlds.. if you got a fretted neck for it you would have marcus miller's bass (at least with the original neck it was SPOT on)..just awesome vintage jazz tone.
so i need work on my upright and this is the only thing that might net me the money to have the work done..
asking 900$ for the bass with hardshell case, but would also be interested in trade for a DPA 4099 (upright mic), EA wizzy M line 10/12, EA Doubler
the pics that i have arent the best but if someone is seriously interested i can certainly get a camera from a family member to take some much better ones. the one has a strat and my carl thompson in it but its for the "full" bass view :P

Edit: how negligent of me! Of course a hardshell case comes with/will be shipped in | I really do think those kind of negotiations should be done privately through PM or email.

Well, any publicity is good publicity, right?
I'd take that except I realize I'm a Stingray fretless guy over a Jazz Bass, but man, what a great bass! Arg!

the neck is a warmoth replacement neck (exact fender specs, if you're not familiar with warmoth)...maple neck, brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and ebony fretlines.. the idea was that i wanted lines for practice but 99% of the time nobody sees the lines, only with the right light hitting the right way.
i had a new bone nut carved (the one i made for it, not realizing that it didnt come with a nut on it already, was super shoddy) and the neck refinished and then a few epoxy layers applied, to attempt to get as close to the Jaco tone as I could and it worked very well.
