FS/FT 2008 Fender American Deluxe Precision

Long story short. I picked this bass up, the truss rod was maxed. It's been to two techs and the action is still a bit high: about 2.5mm at 12th fret with 1 and 17 fretted. I tried to go the authentic Fender replacement neck route, but tech number two (auth fender dealer) didn't want to go through the Fender procedure for a neck. With the strings off the neck has a good amount of back bow and my strings are not super high tension...TI power bass mediums.

I hate to put this beauty out there, but the action is just too high for me. I figured I'd see what the TB community has to offer for this. She's mint except the TR nut.

PS...neither the original owner nor I knew the truss rod was maxed at the time of sale. No ill will here.

I know the rules say post a price...but to be honest I don't know how much the TR nut reduces the price. I paid $1100 for it.

It doesn't matter, you have to post a price. If you paid 1100, you better be prepared to take a loss. These things don't move at that price even when they're in great shape.

Add a washer or two under the truss nut , problem solved

Take it to a luthier.He can either replace the truss rod or cut the truss rod channel deeper and add a couple washers.
