FS/ FT Feeler 6-String Looker

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok so my wife says in order to get what I want, I have to either sell or trade.

The bass is a looker. 2011 DP Custom (April).

Body: neck-thru with sapelle wings (african mahogany)
Top/Knobs: Highly figured bubinga with sapwood
Neck: Six string w/ Maple/Walnut/PH laminates
FB: Cocobolo
Hardware: Gotoh tuners, generic high-mass bridge
Pickups: Barts (CB models)

I can't adjust to the six strings, and bass sounds more like a calllowhill-sadowsky-ken smith cross, which is too modern for me. Yea I should have known better with the wood choices and electronics, but the bubinga top the builder showed me, had me at 'HELLO'. Now I have to live with my GAS.

As with all Barts, the strings make or break this bass. Strung with DR Lo-ridahs and she sings.

The two minor imperfections that I point out in the pics actually look worse than they are. Otherwise no scratches or blemishes anywhere.

FS/FT Value: $1800.00 (Includes a crazy expensive gator case)

Lets see what options are out there.

My oversight:

-35" scale
-Bart 9v-3 band EQ/ Pre
-Prefer the CONUS for now. Who pays shipping depends on the deal.

No clue on the weight, but it's lighter than my '05 bubinga Warwick. I will work on getting it weighed.

The neck reminds me alot of a Ken smith, but give me a few to get dimensions.

Bump for a fellow Virgin Islands bassist...don't let the 0 feedback scare you, Darren's as trustworthy as they come.

I've played this bass before, and I agree with the Ken Smith comparison in terms of feel and modern tone; very articulate and snappy...A little more so than my Sadowsky PJ when compared side by side. Great price for a nice 6.
