*traded* FS/FT Feeler '89 RI P-Bass Sherwood

Traded

[/font]1989 Fender P-Bass V-series RI Sherwood Green!!!

With the help of several here on TB this bass is in fact a 1989 reissue and not an '83 Fullerton
This a for sale or trade feeler
$1400 now $1200
Shipped to the lower 48 states

This bass was modded with EMG active pickups in 1991 It was done very well.

The Neck:
Beautiful Maple with very little wear to it> The color has a nice even vintage tint and looks great. The frets are in near perfect condition. The setup is medium action and feels great.
1-3/4" Nut

The Body:
Very Beautiful Sherwood Green paint that looks almost turquoise in certain light. The body has some light scratches on it here and there, but I cannot find any chips anywhere on the body. The paint has the cracking that you get with nitro paint jobs, and you should be able to see the lines in the photos of the paint.

I just pulled the neck last night and the body is in fact a 1989 You can see in the photos-

The sound:

It is a bright sounding bass with all the solid bottom end you could want. It has a very focused sound for a P-bass IME.This is a real cool bass - so - I reserve the right to change my mind

Trade ideas fall into some of my favorites Sadowsky / Lakland / Pedulla / Aguilar / Thunderfunk / Accugroove / please feel free to run ideas past me. The worst I can do is politely say no thanks.

Sorry

I knew people were going to ask for more photos. I'll upload the photos tomorrow. So I took the neck off and it was stamped April 27 1983 however the body was stamped August 17th 1989 So I apologize for that. I am going to keep it up to see what kind of interest it generates trade wise.

Thanks,
B.

Very pretty bass. The finish looks more like aged Lake Placid Blue or Ocean Turquoise than Sherwood Green to me.

I'm not sure that Fender made AVS '57 RIs in Sherwood Green.

I've owned and seen a lot of Fullerton AV's and have never seen a Sherwood Green. Looks more like LPB in the pics.

I don't think the bass for sale is actually an American Vintage (reissue) bass. It's confusing because the ad uses the term "Fullerton" which is typically reserved for the 82-late 84 reissues.

It has an AVS neckplate -

Sorry it was misleading- I was under the belief that the bass was entirely a 1983 Fullerton RI that was modded - The serial checks out with Fender as such - however I have updated the OP to include the fact that the body is a 1989- Accordingly I dropped the price by $200.

It appears to be a 57 RI but is not from the Fullerton era. The serial number is way too high, the logo is in the wrong place, and the case is not Fullerton era. My guess is late 80s/early 90s. OP, pull the neck and check the actual date, please.

Edit: I just looked at the other pics. The neck date appears to be 1989 on the stamp.
