It's time to pare down the collection a bit, and this is my least-played bass so I thought I'd throw it out there and see if I get any bites. I'm not sure about selling it, so I reserve the right to change my mind! This is a 90s Korean reissue, which are generally considered to be higher quality than the more recent Chinese models. This is also the Pro model, which in addition to being a bit rarer comes stock with upgraded tuners and bridge. I know some people like the sound of the rosewood bridge better; I've never tried it (I like having good intonation!) but if you want they are pretty easy to find online and a drop-in replacement.
The finish is called pearlburst and is a bit sparkly but not too flamboyant. I think it looks great. The sound is vintage heaven: stick a piece of foam under the strings and it's like stepping into a time machine. The electronics are perfect, no noisy pots or anything. It IS a Danelectro, so there's some single coil hum that isn't noticeable in a playing situation. It is currently strung with GHS Precision Flats, but I've also got Roto 77s, Chromes, and Roto 88s, so if you want me to include some different sets we can work something out. The neck is as straight as an arrow and the truss rod is fully functional and has room in both directions. Tuners are solid and it stays in tune really well.
Let's see, the only things that really keep it from being in absolute mint condition are:
A) A bit of minor buckle rash (not visible from 2 feet away)
B) Binding tape is lifting a bit on the lower horn (common problem, not showing any signs of worsening). Check the pics.
C) One of the neck screw-holes was a bit stripped during a truss rod adjustment. It has been fixed with wood glue and toothpicks and is now even more solid than the other holes.
It also comes with a faux-leather Danelectro gigbag. I'm asking $375 shipped Paypal in the US. I'm not really looking for trades, but if you've got something you think I'd like feel free to send an offer. I'm into P-Basses, MIJ stuff (Matsumoku, Fender, etc), and other cool vintagey things. I'd be willing to add cash for the right trade.
I'm happy to answer any questions in this thread or by PM. Album with more pictures at http://imgur.com/a/SpClV#VnZwM . Thanks for looking!

My preference is for a sale or roughly even trade. Still interested in cool MIJs, vintagey things, stuff you don't see every day, etc. |

I'm willing to let this one sit on the block until a buyer or the right trade comes along. I don't even really know what I want (see above for some ideas), but I'll know it when I see it! |

I'm getting some great trade offers so this will probably be gone by the end of the week, but what I REALLY want is that awesome Univox Rick copy so cash would be even better! Keep sending those trade offers too, though. |

I played it some more last night and listened to a recording I did with it a few months ago. It really covers ground that my other two basses can't (an Electra P and an Aria semi-hollow) and feels way better than the Chinese RIs I've come across. At this point I'm leaning towards keeping it, though I still welcome offers. |
