Got this bass a few months back from a great TB'er, and just haven't had a lot of time to play with it since it's my second Bongo.

There are a couple basses up on TB right I'd love to buy so I'm going to throw this out there for an outright sale if possible. I'm happy to keep it if necessary.

The pics are from the last owner - as you can see there are a couple minor cosmetic flaws. First is the somewhat common headstock ding at the fine point of the headstock. I've actually dropped a little Testor's paint in the ding that was a close match which makes it a lot less noticeable. I'm going to try and get a pic of that shortly. Second are the marks on the back of the neck. I need to do a new pic with a penny as they look bigger than they really are - the longest one is about 1/2".

The bass was professionally setup when I got it and everything checked out - neck is in great shape.

I have a black pearl pickguard on the way from Perfect Bass, so it will be your choice on what pickguard you'd like.

$1100 + actual shipping CONUS.

PM with any interest or questions. At this point I'm only entertaining the following trades:

Modulus Q5 or Q6 w/truss rod (cash from me)
Mike Lull P5 or PJ5 (cash from me)
Stingray 5 HH
Fender MIA Precision V (no tobacco sunburst finish or maple fretboards)
Lakland Skyline P5 (again no sunbursts or maple fretboards)

Ahh I see. I thought I made some kind of glaring mistake with the listing since I through it together kind of fast.

I have a black pearl pickguard on the way - I wasn't meaning to move this one but out of the basses I have, this one is the most 'expendable' I guess.

You're other basses must be made of gold, light as a feather, and blessed by Jesus himself. Man, I love my Bongo!

I have an HH Bongo 5 so I wouldn't be Bongo-less. And at some point I'd probably get a 6 HS.

I actually had an offer for another Sterling - I think that's kind of a fall back bass for me. Let me know what the finish and fretboard are.

Ok looks like this guy is just under 10 lbs. The scale wouldn't register it by itself so I had to step on with it and without it. The scale has a margin of error of about 1/5 of a lb. Sounds like this one is right in line with what other dual pickup Bongos weigh.

The new pickguard will be here today so I'll snap some pics of it on plus some pics of the flaws. The neck marks are actually on the bottom side of the neck so you wouldn't be staring at them all the time.

Actually having this guy out of the case again is making me have second thoughts about moving it, but I'd still have my other Bongo to console me.

A few more pics....

Tried to take a decent pic of the paint I put over the headstock ding - glare doesn't help but in non-bright light or stage conditions it's pretty much unnoticeable now.

A couple shots wearing the new black pearl p/g from Perfect Bass:

A shot of the neck marks to show relative size:
