FS/FT Feeler - Elrick NJS5 - Roscoe?

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD
The specs:
Elrick New Jazz Standard 5 String #E0809
Swamp Ash body
Maple neck (35" scale)
Birdseye maple fretboard
Burled Tasmanian Rose Myrtle top (matching headstock)
Bartolini J-Coil pickups
Bartolini NTMB Preamp (9V) with 3-way mid position switch and active/passive switch
Black Hipshot hardware ("B" design bridge)
Dunlop Dual-design straplocks
Weight: 8.75 pounds - it balances perfectly
Perfect condition - nice low setup with DR Sunbeams
No issues whatsoever

Basically, this thing is absolutely incredible. I've come to realize that the Jazz thing isn't really me. Sorry about the lack of pics - Bass Emporium took these at the store shortly before I bought it. I took this beauty home on July 15th of this year. It's practically brand new. I've gigged it twice, and I never touch it without washing my hands first. I'm totally OCD about my instruments.

This is the 6th of 6 instruments that Rob Elrick made with Burled Tasmanian Rose Myrtle, and I believe this was the only New Jazz Standard of the lot. I'll also give you the issue of Bass Player Magazine where this instrument is featured in a big ad for Bass Emporium.

I'm more looking to trade than to sell, but if the right offer is made, I'd consider it.

If you have a 5-String, 35" scale Roscoe LG, SKB, or Century you might want to trade, I'd be very interested in talking with you.

Will you trade for some pocket lint and a string? Nah man, just kidding you. I had a chance to play a similar Elrick, and these are just epic. I mean, really, they're beyond epic. If I had the money to afford such a bass as a Roscoe or this in particular, you'd be getting PM'd.

Bummer. If it was 34" (like the Elrick Classics I have) I'd be all over it like a dirty shirt. Bump for a superb instrument.

This bass is getting a lot of attention! Somebody grab it before I do something I don't want to do!

PM's replied to.

Cash price?? I dunno... It's pretty much brand new... If I were to sell it, I'd say $2,200. But I'm open to offers!

Worst case scenario, I say no.. Haha.

Update: May also consider a Roscoe 6 string, or possibly a US Lakland JO5, DJ5, or 55-94.

SOLD - Traded it for a brand new Roscoe Century Standard V.

If anyone still wants this strikingly beautiful Elrick, Bass Emporium has it back in their possession.

Yup! It's definitely plain-looking in comparison to the Elrick, but it's got the tone I was looking for, and the neck feels perfect!

Here's my celebration thread: NEW ROSCOE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
