Sold the Roscoe Beck - thanks to everybody for the interest!
I'm feeling out the possibility of selling or trading my RB-5. It's a great bass, but it's not getting much playing time since I got a (Keith) Roscoe 5 a few months back, and it should go somewhere where it won't feel ignored.
This is a 1998 model, red, and it's in great shape. There's one very small finish chip in the back of the neck around the 5th fret that doesn't show up in pictures. Other than that I'd say it's in perfect condition, no buckle rash or anything.
It was set up a few years ago by Mike Lull, and plays great.
Comes complete with the original tweed hard case. The case has some minor dings and some stains (looks like something got dripped over it at some point), but that's what a case is for, right?
If you're not familiar with the Roscoe Beck, here's a review from Bass Player:
http://www.roscoebeck.com/profile.htm. Roscoe Beck said a few months back that it doesn't look like Fender will be re-introducing the RB-5 any time soon, so these are likely to become increasingly rare.
For a sale I'm asking $1500 for this instrument, plus shipping (Con US only, please). For a trade, I'm looking for a good 35-inch scale 5-string fretless with a lined fingerboard - I'm hoping for a Mike Lull, Roscoe, Lakland, or MTB, but am open to others in that vein. Depending on relative values some cash could flow either way.
