Hey all. Here's the dealy-o, I have 2 fretted MTD 535-24s. I'd really like to have a fretted Roscoe SKB-3005 or Century Signature V, but i don't need to add another fretted 5 to my collection(I still have my Human Base BassX.OC-5 & a Stuart Moye Custom 5). I'm looking to possibly sell or trade my Zebrawood 535 for one of the aforementioned basses(or possibly a Fodera Monarch). I'm not really interested in anything else. I really like this bass and I don't NEED to get rid of it, but if one of you fine folks wants to buy it or trade your Roscoe SKB-3005, Century Signature V, or Fodera Monarch 5, I'd love to hear from you!...........................>>>>>>>>>>SOLD 12-30-08!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<.................THANKS!

MTD 535-24
Solid Zebrawood body
Wenge neck/Wenge fretboard
Bartolini P/U & 3-band Pre.
Pretty much your standard amazing MTD USA bass! It's in MINT condition(9.5/10) and it'll come with an MTD softcase! $2700

Very nice! How heavy is it, roughly? How would you describe the sound, compared to your other MTD? I currently have an ash/ash 535-24, but after something darker sounding.

Cheers,

EG

Hey! Thanks. She's definitely darker sounding than my other MTD, which is Mahogany/Chechen...and MUCH heavier! The solid Zebrawood is probably close to 11 or 12lbs! My other one is probably closer to 9.5 or 10lbs. They sound WAY different. The Mah/Chec is very bright and crisp. The zebra is much darker with a stronger mid/low voice. That's why I got a 2 channel Michael Pope Pre...'cause they were so far apart tonally, I can't use 1 eq setting for both basses! The ash/ash combo might be closer sounding, but I think the zebra's still gonna be darker. Thanks!
