FS/FT Feeler- Sadowsky Metro 4

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a serious case of P-bass gas...so I am contemplating letting my Sadowsky go to cover a new bass...I'd sell for $1500

Ideally-I'd like to own one of these two:

A Yamaha Attitude (the good one with scalopped frets etc)
or a 70's era P sunburst w/rosewood, tortise guard and big TV decal...

But I might consider others as well....but for the most part I would not want to be into a P -bass other than the two above for more than your bass and and $600 for mine- So ball park on a trade I am valuing a P at 700-800ish...to clarify - your Precision and $600 cash is where I'd be at.

P's of intrest would be more along the vintage vibe, I like the Road Worns, Reissue P's etc...I would of course also swap even up for any 60's era P -in playable condition- refin changed parts- A OK- as previously stated the bust one w/rosewood and tortise is my main source of gas

And of course anyone who knows me knows my fondness for Spector NS-2s and old BC Rich Eagles..which would of course get it done.....I'd also consider partial trades for Ovation Magnums, G&L's SD Curlees, Lakland 5502 (or 4402) (probaly swap even for US lakie)

Pics are from when I got the bass this summer- but its in 100% same shape and comes with case...

This is a passive bass? It looks active to me, but thought I would ask just to make sure.

I have a '72 P up on the trade block.

I looked on the Sadowsky site, yours looks like a "Standard" series, the RS-4. Is that right? There is not much about this bass on their site. You say it is passive with active pre-amp. Help me out on that one. Is that to say you can play it either as an active or passive bass, ie you can turn the pre-amp off with one of the knobs? I used to have a Fender Deluxe Precision that had a blend knob, allowing the passive pup and the active pup to be mixed together or separated. Tell me how your bass works, and let me know if you are interested in my bass, pics of which can be found here:

The bass only opperates in "active mode" the preamp is boost only- IE both knobs turned all the way down is the flat response of the pickup bass and treble can be boosted. Bass sounds killer- it does that "marcus" sound to a T- that said its a bit more modern sounding that a standard passive jazz- but reatains the great growl we all love-
Like your bass too
