NOTE- now for sale only. Got the bass I wanted
This is my last Warwick, going in favor of 35 inch scale instruments...
It's a 2004 Warwick Streamer Stage 2. 5 string, Afzelia body and an Afzelia/Ovangol neck thru build. Yin/yang fret markers, wenge fretboard, all the good stuff. I put it at 8 out of 10, pretty damn good shape for almost 10 years
It does have 1 flaw that in no way affects playing. When I received the instrument used, there was some movement of the laminate near the heel of the bass; this is common when people don't oil/wax these basses like they should. It's not measurable but you can feel it if you run your finger across the laminates. It's also got a hairline crack at the bottom starting at the laminate and going out about 3/4 of an inch before stopping. Definitely not a deep crack, and never got bigger. Since I've had it, it has gotten wax and or oiled at least once every 2 months. Taken to Paul Unkert, a pro luthier in Jersey who worked for Kramer and helped develop Eddie Van Halens guitar, I was told at this point it didn't need anything. If desired, the laminates can be lightly sanded and sealed with a glue or epoxy, and the crack is a non issue as long as the bass isn't dropped. Again these issues never got worse, as I babied this bass since I got it 2 years ago.
I'm looking for about $1850, shipped, CONUS. Paypal preferred.
I will load pics in the next 24 hours. Offers are welcome. Want to make sure this bass gets a good home. Thanks.
