Thumbs up FS: Yamaha 5-String

Sign in to disble this ad
I have SOLDa WONFERFUL 1991 or 1992 Yamaha RBX5. This is not like the new RBX series. Here's what I know:
All original,
EMG made P/J pick-ups - passive
Gotoh made bridge with saddle locks and adjustable string spacing
Gotoh made tuners
THE BEST NECK EVER!!!!

I am asking $265 $255 shipped in the original hardshell case (only minor scuffs on case, no cracks). This is a great deal for a real solid bass that plays so well, it doesn't feel like a 5 string!!

Question last pics...

I've seen this priced all over the place. What's it worth in sale or trade?
This has been and still is an awesome player with the build quality I have not seen on new basses at my local stores.

What do you think??? $280?

Very interesting bass! Too bad that the only four strings I'm still owned are not really good :
- Vantage Avenger X-77 1984 with old Dimarzio precision
- Sanox MIJ 7?-8?, two sets of precision, hand varnish, nice sound, push/pull volume for parallell/serie, etc.
- Quest Atak 2B, gotoh keys, gotoh precision pickups
- Odyssey from Attila Balogh (first owner made some big scratch (not sure of the exact word because I use to speak french) on the fretboard, Badass, Schaller, Dimarzio

I would prefer a sale to help with a GAS attack.

I was told that this might not be as "pro" as I thought. This bass was made in Taiwan. Sorry about that.

HMMM ...

What's the string spacing @ the bridge, and neck width @ the nut?

I measured the string spacing at approximately 17mm at the bridge. Remember that the string spacing is adjustable, too.
The nut is 1 7/8"

I hope that helps!
