This bass plays and sounds so sweet that it seduced me at a local store and totally made me forget that I was looking for a jazz bass. So now that I've come to my senses, I'm putting it up on the block in the hopes that someone has a 4-string, fretted, quality J they are willing to part with in a trade or that someone just wants to give this sexy ax the good home it deserves. It's definitely "a good one." Sweet thump and growl of which Mr. Jamerson would undoubtedly approve.
Here's the deal:
- Classic American Vintage Reissue Alder body, Rosewood neck ("C"- 1.75" width)
- All original and unmolested
- Frets have no wear and it's sporting TI Flats (they'll be yours)
- Neck is pristine and straight as can be
- Alignment is just right
- Pretty light at 8.75lbs
- OHSC (Tweed with minor wear, very sturdy) and Chrome covers
- Some moderate wear on top horn and back/around the neckplate (see pics for a good look)
- v059493, not sure of the year, but it's a Corona, CA birth..
- Otherwise it's a VERY clean and mean funk machine
-
$900 Shipped or will trade for a good 4-string Jazz (up or down, Fender, Lakland, Sadowsky, Lull, Nordy, fire away; worst I'll say is no thanks). Might also consider a stealth ray HH or a black Ric or - longshot- a carvin AB45.
