SOLD!!!
This is a 2004 Fender American Standard Precision. Chrome Red with black pickguard and maple fretboad. It is strung with Chrome Flats.
It weighs 9.0 pounds on my digital bathroom scale.
I bought this from another TB'er a little while back and it is my understanding that it is all original except for the pickguard. The guy I bought it from said it was a 2003 and Candy Apple Red. When I got it, pulled the neck and found that both neck and body are stamped 2004. And, I am now informed by another TB'er that it is Chrome Red, not CAR. I never thought it looked quite like CAR, but I had to go with what the guy said that I got it from.
I bought it to put a fretless neck on it, which I did for a while. Then I built a Warmoth Jazz and put the f/l neck on that. So now this is back to original and ready for a new owner.
It only has one cosmetic flaw - a ding on the lower rear corner, which you can see in the pics.
It came to me with a black p/g and that is what is on it now. When I was playing it, I got a new Fender white pearloid p/g for it, which is shown in some of the pics.

$750, shipped, paid via Paypal for the bass. That's with black p/g only, and no case or gig bag.
I will also include the white pearl p/g for an extra $50. Basically, I'm happy to keep it, it's brand new and that is almost what it cost me.
I will ship it in a hard/softside hybrid case that is in very good condition, for an extra $50, if you want that.
Trade interests:
- Fender American Jazz 5 string, fretted. It would have to be red or black (or similar, like cherry burst - no blue, green, white, natural, or 3TSB) and maple board. Std or Dlx.
- MM StingRay5, fretted, with HS pickup config. Same requirements on color, maple board as a Jazz 5.
