FS/FT: Fender Deluxe Jazz

Here you go! I have a 1999 Fender Deluxe Jazz bass. It is MIM. Active electronics. It has John Suhr pickups.

I put a different bridge on it b/c the original bridge was missing a set screw on one of the saddles. I will include the original bridge.

Bass is in good shape but well used. Has some belt rash on the back of it. The head has a small ding on the edge and also a slight scratch across the top of the face near the end. I tried to photograph these but it was difficult. Some dings on the body but nothing crazy. Nothing affects the playability of the bass.

Action is nice and I would say on the medium to low side. Newly strung and I set the intonation as good as I could but a more experienced person could probably set it up a little bit better although very playable as is.

Weighs in at just above 9lbs on the Wii Balance Board!

$300 shipped east of Denver, $310 shipped west of Denver (I don't have a case or gig bag for it)

Trades considered: PS3, 3 Leaf Audio Groove Regulator + cash, other basses + cash on my end depending on what it is, throw some stuff by me...but my priority is to sell to help out with upcoming tuition for Summer semester.

Please ask any questions!! Paypal is ok, USPS money order is ok. Shipping in CONUS only.

I am not really sure. I would guess that all Fenders are relatively the same weight....but I don't have a scale at the house.

There might be something in this thread:
Exactly how much does your Fender bass really weigh?

Here are some of the weights from that thread, so I will assume that this is similiar:
-2005 American Jazz Deluxe = 9 lbs.
-MIM Deluxe Jazz 9.4 lbs with BAII bridge.
-1996 Limited 50th Jazz (FMT+B) 9 lbs 6 0z
-1997 MIM Jazz Fretless with Badass II - 9.25lbs

I'm still interested in this...just a bit worried about the weight as some of these MIM's can run as high as 10 lbs. There is no way you can get a weight on it for me?

Let me see what I can do. I might run it by the post office or FedEx and ask them to weigh it for me on Monday.

Nice price. I picked one of these up (it was a '99) and layed down some tracks for an acoustic driven rock band. I was really happy how it sat in the mix. The active electronics didn't seem to color the jazz tone at all.

Thanks guys! Pretty sure the price on this isn't going any lower. Everyone else is selling standard MIMs for $350+ so if it doesn't sell by the end of the weekend I am just going to keep it or evil bay it. I just have a project coming in that I need to fund.

Final TB bump. My Modulus VJ4 body came in today...SO...this is going to be the last chance to get the bass as it is now....shortly I will be taking the neck and putting on the other body and possibly the electronics too.

So after today, the body will be available, and other parts...but I will start a new thread in the accessories forum for all of that stuff when I figure out what I am going to do. Body will definitely be going ba-bye...so hit me up if that interests you.

Surgery starts in about 3 hours!!!!!!
