FS/FT Fender Jazz Deluxe MIA

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale or MAYBE trade - MIA Fender Jazz deluxe - Ash body in very good condition - it has a couple of small dings on the body (only one on the front) and one on the headstock edge.

It has the cobalt pups so it must be fairly new... I am the 2nd owner. I looked up the SN - It's a 2005.

IT is a fantastic bass, it is just sorta redundant in my collection - I have the exact model in the 5 string which I play more often. It is very light - I would guess about 8 lbs.

$900 + shipping

INFO FROM FENDER SITE
American Deluxe Jazz Bass® Ash

Our upgraded American Deluxe Jazz Bass Ash guitar captures the spirit of Fender innovation with its three-band active EQ, pair of Samarium™ Cobalt Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups and 18-volt power supply.

This gorgeous ash-body bass has a modern C-shaped, graphite-reinforced maple neck with a contoured heel (for easy access to upper frets), five-bolt neck plate, maple or rosewood rolled-edge fingerboard, abalone dot inlays and highly detailed nut and fret work. Other features include chrome hardware, a variety of pickguards (see specifications), deluxe chrome-plated steel bridge plate (string-through-body or top-load) with nickel-plated brass saddles, and Fender/Schaller® Deluxe Lite-Bass tuning machines.

Trades? What do you have?

Oh wow. That's nice. Does it really have an 18 volt power supply? I prefer 9 or passive...

yep its 18 volts.. Bump

The finish in the photo of me looks like a dark burst, but it is exactly like the burst in the stock photo.

Also, I traced the SN and it was made in 2005

Also, it comes in the Fender HSC

Overnight UPS is about $45 but I can get some cheaper options if you don't want it overnight. I usually like to do it this way because I don't like the idea of my bass bouncing around in multiple trucks and werehouses.

That's funny. How is it still available when I have it in my possession?

You're being quite difficult. Maybe you should have posted photos of the damage you didn't disclose.

I AM NOT paying to ship this thing back without being reimbursed for shipping BOTH WAYS and and also for the strings, setup and cleaning. You couldn't, at least, wipe it down before you packed it??

Edit: I forgot to add that the case is bent, as well.

Seriously.

I'm keeping the bass, but I'm not happy about the stuff that was conveniently left out. The biggest of which are the ugly dent in the fretboard edge--on the palm side--and the dent (with cracked finish) in the back that's about 1/2 the size of a dime. There's more, but you get the idea.

It would really have been as simple as letting me know. We could have adjusted the trade some and gone on without issue. Instead you get a NEG on your feedback rating and I get irritated as Hell.

Ugh... I was ready for bed. Now, I'm irritated again.

Well, I honestly don't know what to say about this other than perhaps you should have communicated with me about your concerns and WAITED for me to get up this morning so I could respond before you started trashing me and my bass. :rolleyes

Resolved

coronado3 (Jeff) has made good on the deal. Everything is fine, now. Thanks, Jeff, for taking care of the situation.

I apologize for taking this public. I had been stung before. I was very upset and may have acted too swiftly, in this case. Good luck to you in all future dealings. Enjoy the Stingray.
