FS/FT: Fender MIA Deluxe Precision

Sign in to disble this ad
FINAL PRICE DROP: $800 shipped ConUS
EDIT: NOW REALLY LOOKING FOR SALE OR TRADE + CASH ON YOUR END (unless you have a Lakland 55 02 then we can figure something out)

As title says, I have a 1998 MIA Deluxe Precision in (very sexy and now discontinued) trans teal with maple fretboard. This was bought here, off TB, from The Crusader in august of 2008 and has not seen any live action other than one high school jazz performance. Other than that it has been a 'basement bass'. It has the older, 9V preamp with a professionally repaired blend pot.

The bass is very clean, with only finish swirling and a few tiny nicks near the back of the edge where your arm rests when playing fingerstyle- not noticeable at all to a crowd or anyone standing 5 feet away. There is also a tiny darkened spot on the very corner of the fretboard under the E string just after the 22nd fret.

I'm less interested in selling than trading, but if I were looking at a cash sale I'd put the price at $850 shipped.

As far as trades go, I'm interested in active 5 stringers, in particular laklands. Preference in 4 stringers will be given to wenge-necked warwicks, also looking for active. This is mainly a feeler though, so throw any and all offers at me!

UPDATE: Now I'm pretty much only interested in cash sales, and trades that net me at least $200 along with a bass (unless you've got a Peavey Cirrus 5 or a Lakland 55 02). I'm looking for mostly active 5 stringers, i.e. lakland, carvin, etc. but continue to throw any and all offers at me! Thanks guys, and sorry if I seem a little picky, cause I am

Now for some pics

More pics are available at: http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...%204%20String/

Thanks, Brendan

Wink

I have this exact same bass/color except with a rosewood fretboard.

I wish you wanted to trade straight up for a rosewood, since I'm looking for a maple.

One of my all time favorite basses, by far.

Wish I had the cash!

Bump!

Are the pic colors correct? It seems a little bluer than expected. Or my middle aged eyes are getting worse from too much computer time.

The pics do make it seem bluer than usual, it normally has a more teal tint as well. The weight is 8.7 pounds on a shaky bathroom scale, but it's not heavy at all. I do not have the OHSC, but I will ship it in a roadrunner hybrid case.

Still here! Looking mainly for trades + cash on your end for active 5ers, but throw anything and everything at me, it might do the trick!
