had this bass for a awhile great player but again I am thining the herd. got this from the bass player from the punk band "good clean fun" it is diff from any jazz special i have seen it is only a p bass pickup. great looking sunburst. I questioned him about it when I bought it and he said that is how he ordered it from fender and than showed me a clip of sting playing one just like it on snl in the early 90's. also the stamp inside the neck pocket is the same typeset as the stamp on the neck. so draw your own conclusions.
the pickup and guard were changed it has a tortise shell guard with a sd quater pounder pickup. no major scratches or dings no fretware neck plays great sounds awesome. e series serial number. I am asking $550.00 shipped in us with gig bag.
