FS/FT Fender USA P-bass Amazingly Unique!

Well if you've never seen a 3-tone sunburst/rosewood Precision bass before, then yeah - it's amazingly unique...

This one's a 2008(?) 3-tone sunburst American Standard body with a 2011 rosewood American Special neck. The upgrades include Hipshot tuners and a tort guard. The whole bass is in excellent condition - I'm not gonna say mint anymore - but I'll say between 8.5 to 9 out of 10. I've played it live maybe twice since I purchased it here on TB last year. Currently strung with flats as well...

I'm looking for something completely out of the ordinary - I've already got 3 other P's and 4 J's, so maybe something crazy like a 12-string???

Cash price $750 only $700!!! This weekend ONLY plus shipping CONUS only ($20 west of and $30 east of rockies). Paypal is fine.

I'll post pics soon... Of the bass, too.

Pics... Oh, I think I have the thumbrest and the pickup cover still. The bridge cover is long gone, but the screws are there to fill the holes.

Giving this a bump for the weekend... I've seen a few basses that have peaked my interest, so if you have something from Spector, Hamer, or some other unusual brand, feel free to PM me an offer.

TTT - I saw a white Hamer Chaparral CL-12 (Korean) that I fell in love with... If anyone has something like that, let me know!

Why are the neck and body from different basses? Is there an advantage?

The big difference for me is the American Special has a slimmer 'C' neck profile (similar to '62 reissues), where the American Standard has the thicker 'modern C' profile. I also replaced the stamped tuners with (much) higher quality Hipshots.

I'm going to drop the price on this baby TODAY (SUNDAY St. Patty's Day) ONLY... $700 plus shipping - (If you're local in Los Angeles, I can deliver it personally)... New basses are coming soon and the War Department has already set a limit on my arsenal!

One of my other basses left over the weekend, and my Aggie cabinet is on hold, so I'm gonna try and keep this to trades locally. Looking for Spectors, and 8- or 12- string basses mostly. Or something completely different....
