Sign in to disble this ad
This is a Brand New G&L L2500 Tribute in cherryburst with a maple fretboard. This bass is flawless 11 out of 10 easily! pics do it no justice. very pretty grain! ships in an also brand new G&L Gig Bag! $550 shipped or trade for ? Cash is king, as usual, but don't hesitate to make offers! This is half the price you would buy it for in a music shop in more than likely better condition! snatch it before EvilBay does!

Thanks,
zack

What year is this bass? I know that they now have G&L larger on the headstock. Does the serial number make it a 2003? (I am not sure how their serial number system works). Also does that mean this is Korean or Indonesian made? I am actually not sure if they were ever made in Korea or not.

Thanks for the info.

Johnny,
This is Indonesian. says so on the back. I know what you are talking about. the first tributes said G&L on the bridge and tribute series in small letters on the headstock. this on is brand new, and says tribute on the bridge and in bigger letters on the headstock.

OK I guess I had it backwards. I thought that originally they had the Tribute logo larger (like yours) and then they switched to G&L logo being larger. I thought that is what some thread on here said. Thanks again.

Free bump.

Sorry to keep bugging about this but I am actually interested in finding an early Korean one to check out. I found this information on another site about G&L's (guitarsbyleo.com)

"The TRIBUTE series was made in the CORT factory in Korea originally and now are being made in . . . I believe it is also a CORT factory . . . in Indonesia.
The Korean TRIBs have an 8 digit serial number while the newer Indonesia TRIBs have a 9 digit serial number . . . both with no letters in the serial number.
US made G&L basses have a letter beginning the serial number and I think it is usually a B.
The TRIBs originally had TRIBUTE in large easily readable letters on the headstock . . . but now they are being produced with TRIBUTE written in very small letters on the headstock."

Since yours has an 8 digit serial number and the larger Tribute logo it suggests that it is most likely a 2003 model made in Korea.

You said it is marked Made in Indonesia and I was not aware they did that. Can you post me a photo? Maybe they went back to doing it the old way?

Thanks again!

Johnny, sorry, I grabbed the wrong one. This particular one is a Korean one. (I have 5 L2500 tributes, three the same colorings.)

it is actually pretty taut. I was surprised! but then again, these Tribby's always seem to surprise me! I think, for the price, you can't beat them! it is a nice B, I like it a lot! I play my G&L 5 strings very often!

So are these the right pictures? Or are you selling a different bass?
