Got this 2004 G&L L-2500 in trade but it did not knock my Lakland 5 out of 1st posistion, which is how many 5'vers I need, 1. To be clear however, the G through E are actually awesome, and better than the 55-02 in many regards, plus no deadspots! . I guess I simply fall into the 35" scale or better school so far. I have moved out a Bongo 5, Carvin LB 5, and now this for a "not bad" B string. So honesty being the best policy I will say this is a great example of the G&L MFD basses which I dig (L-2000), but a 34" B has yet to impress me enough to keep it. Nary a scratch visible, only light swirl marks on the back if you look for them closely. Swamp ash blueburst body Rosewood board, Certificate of authenticity. Go to ""Guitars by Leo" and run the serial number.
All systems 100% and I have no scale but it "feels" right around 10ish. Usual G&L hardshell case (1 foot caved in and other minor deformity) Sounds great though for those in the know, who don't like 35" scale.
