SOLD
I picked this up from Quadzilla a couple months back...I've only been playing bass since January, and since then I've gotten a better sense of different basses and what my tastes lean toward.

This bass has lots of professionally done mods...added pickup, active preamp (Ken Smith), beautiful transparent black refinish. Bass looks and sounds great. The maple neck on this is simply stunning.

Controls are volume, pickup blend, bass (mid?) boost and treble boost. Volume pulls up to go passive if desired. Switch is a parallel/series, I think. That bass/mid boost is a beast...scared my dogs the first time I tried it.

Anyway, cutting to the chase. The bass was just set up with new GHS pressurewounds (44-102). Plays and sounds great.

I will sell for $675 and will split shipping. This is $50 less than I paid and it got new strings and a setup. This is a great deal....if it doesn't sell at this price I'll keep it and wait till my funk muscles develop.

Will ship only to lower 48. No case included, can include some sort of bag for shipping.

Prefer a sale to trades, as I want to simplify and free up space (6 guitars and 3 basses) but wouldn't rule one out, whether for a bass or a quality cab. Cash can go either way depending on the trade.

For funk styles in particular, this is amazing. I sold an amp recently at home and the player who came over to try it brought his bass. After playing his bass he asked to play this one, and the difference and improvement in tone was amazing, particularly with his slapping style. Utterly badass. He said "this one's a keeper".

Unfortunately, I don't play like him and can't keep multiple basses till I do. Great bass though.

Just IMHO, I think you'd be crazy to let this one go if it's a P-type thing you're after... just sayin, bump!
