FS/FT: G&L USA NAMM show L-2500 Tobaccoburst

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a 2001 L-2500 tobacco burst made for the 2001 NAMM show. It has a rosewood fretboard with no dots (but there are dots on the side). I originally got the bass off TB from this thread. This bass has a great sound with lots of tone options.

Included is the same fully functional G&L case that still has a few feet broken off but still does its job perfectly.

Cash: Final price drop! $950 paypal shipped.

Trades: EBMM Big Al or Reflex

I really miss this bass, she's a beaut, and will make someone very very happy. I wish I had more occasion to play a 5 string. If I had the cash and could get away with buying her back (and not having the wife kill me in my sleep) I would

Kris was super great to deal with as well, so buy with confidence!

Cheers,
Ross

Free bump for a sweet-looking bass! And it's a pound lighter than my L-2500. Nice!

Can somebody chime in and describe some tonal differences between an L2500, a Fender Roscoe Beck V, and a Warwick Streamer $$ (swamp ash and maple)? They're all 2-humbucker basses with versatile switching. Can they cover much of the same tonal ground as each other?

Not familiar with the other basses, but my G&L has three switches: 1) neck pickup, bridge pickup, both pickups 2) series, parallel 3) passive, active, and active with treble boost. There are three knobs: 1) volume 2) treble cut 3) bass cut. Can't get much more versatile.

The info should be the same as listed here: G&L website L-2500 specs page.

Nut width: 1 3/4"
Radius: 12"

Thanks. Really looking for the 9" radius. Someone else will be lucky to wrap their fingers around this one.

I believe all the 5-string G&L L-2500 basses have the same radius. I think the 4-strings are the ones that have the option for different neck specs.

And yes, the bass is still available to all who may be interested!

ALL G&L 5 strings have a 12" radius board.

Too bad that you are not looking for an immaculate Warwick Infinity SN5.
