FS/FT: Hamer 12-string Chaparral, MIK

Here is a Korean made Hamer 12-string. In good shape with some swirls, marks and a ding or two. It's been played. Some paint chipping at the 1st/2nd fret as shown. I don't know the history, but my guess it was touched up or repaired. Frets are good, action is fine. I haven't touched the truss rod because the setup is fine, but I can check it out for anyone who's interested. Anyone that's interested, I can put you in touch with the previous owner for more info.

Comes with an inexpensive hardshell case. They sell new for around $630 w/o a case. Try this one out for $300/shipped CONUS. Open to trades. The only specific thing would be a Akai Unibass, outside of that, try me.

Sorry the pics aren't so great. Flash sucks, no flash sucks. I'll take more if anyone is interested.

I paid $500 for one and I though that was a good deal. You gotta try one to believe it.

Bump!

I just thought it would give someone a chance to try one out for cheap. Probably looking for a little more value if it's a trade.

Not dogging, but curious, is the paint chipping just paint chipping or is the fretboard loose there? Wondering if someone overtightened the truss rods. Do they have any play in them? $300 is a GREAT price. Let me know the answer if its all good I might be interested. Miss mine so much....

I've never adjusted the truss rod(s) but I will check tonight. Fretboard is tight, but maybe something happened in the past? As I said, I can forward the previous owner's info if someone wants to talk to them about it.

Checked out the truss rods and they move freely and I have the neck really straight now. There may have been a repair which could be reason behind the chipping in the pic, but if there was, it's solid now. I was able to put the neck into backbow without any issues. Lots of tension with all these strings!! Bad news is I broke one of the tripled strings (guitar size). It could probably use new strings anyway or maybe I'll try to just pick up the right guage guitar strings.

I think it's still a good deal at the price I'm asking. Again, I'm open to trades, whacha got?

I am the former owner of the bass, folks. I got the bass as is. I was told by the person I bought it from that it was only a paint issue. I did look at it closer, and the fretboard looked solid. I have gigged with it, and everything felt good. I initially bought it because I was part of a very heavy rock band, but it fell apart quickly (drummer was on a lot of drugs). Loend obtained it from me as part of a deal. As far as the sound of the bass, it is like a huge wall of sound. Have a listen to some of King's X songs to get an idea of what this beast sounds like.

This is indeed a solid bass guitar, it needs the right player for it. Unfortunately, I wasn't the right player, and, dealing with Loend68, he is honest, and great to deal with. This bass is indeed a good deal, and in the right hands, it will make you very happy.

I'm tempted just because of how great this price is.

12-string tuning is… standard on the bass, then octave up on both the guitar strings with one slightly sharp and the other slightly flat?

Yes, but I think you tune the guitar strings to pitch, not slightly sharp or flat.
