Picked this up from a local music store and it was in pretty bad shape. Cleaned it up and fixed some issues with it and it's working great now. Plays pretty nice and sounds great! There are a few dents and scratches on the body which is common for a 25+ year old bass but there is nothing major. If someone really wants I can take detailed pics of all the dings and paint chips.
Headstock says VJ Rendano which means it was just imported by a different USA company in the 80s and has a different decal. If you look up pictures of these Hondos you will see this is the exact same bass.
Hondo made some fantastic Japanese basses in the 70s and 80s and lots of people still use their guitars. This one is pretty cool looking with a matching head stock, string through body, P pickups, full upper fret access, etc. Top strap button is on the neck plate and this thing sits quite balanced.
Edit: Tuner issue fixed. I replaced all 4.
These seems to typically go for $300 to $350 so I will say $300 shipped. I don't have a case or bag that will fit this so I'd likely remove the neck to ship. I can use my work UPS account so shipping would be discounted a couple bucks.
As far as trades, I like old Ibanezes and depending on the bass there could be cash on either side. RB924, Icemans, Bunker ATKs, Destroyers, etc. I've decided to go full Ibanez stable so I'm getting rid of impulse buys.
