I have your typical ATK300 here. I picked it up to try it out due to my lust for EBMMs and black n maple color scheme. The matched headstock also adds points for me.
I took out the factory pickup and put in a Seymour Duncan MM pickup in its place. I also modified the factory switch so that the MM pickup has Series/off/Parallel switching through the factory onboard pre. The switch can be put back to factory by soldering the little PCB that I took off of it and reinstalling the factory Ibanez pickup that will come with it as well.
With the SD MM pickup in it, it sounds huge. So huge, the internal trim pot is turned all the way down the signal is so hot. People say this is a poor mans Stingray and now it actually sounds like a Stingray. I didn't think the factory pick up was a real Ray sound.
She has a brand new set of DR Black Beauties on her.
Entire bass is near mint/mint. Will ship in factory Ibanez box. I also found a padded gig bag that I'll send with it. Sorry some of these pics are blurry...
Asking $375 350 $ SOLD shipped.

If I were you, I'd buy with the pickup and if you really dont like it, then you can easily get $50 for the pickup used. Its in perfect shape.

Made a ridiculous local sale offer to someone but they haven't gotten back to me....

| | Hat's off to the bull... | | Join Date: Sep 2010 Location: Frederock, Maryland | | | I think these are the correct ATK NECK DIMENSIONS
Scale/Length 864mm/34"
a: Width at Nut 42.5mm
b: Width Last Fret 63mm
c: Thickness 1st Fret 21mm
d: Thickness 12th Fret 24mm
e: Radius 240mm
This would be nice to leave at the rehearsal space indeed!!

That is subjective because Fender Ps have about a million different neck sizes and shapes. The three P's I own right now all have three different widths and shapes. This neck is closest to an American Std Precision bass.
But yes, this neck isnt a skinny, tiny, Ibanez SR style neck. Its a neck you can beat someone over the head with. The width at the nut is probably around 1.6 to 1.7 inches, like most Precisions. According to Mr. Mckay's numbers below, it comes out to 1.67" which looks correct. However, I find this shape to be quite comfortable compared to some thicker Precision necks. Its also a satin finish which I like compared to gloss which feels sticky to me.
