Maple fretboards, despite their sexyness, just aren't my bag, and I must turn this one loose. It is flawless, played only for minutes at a time. Still has the hang tags, the manual, plastic overlay explaining the EQ, Elixer strings, everything but the cheap 5 foot cable that came with it.
It's one of the spankiest, brightest basses I've ever heard. I don't know if it's the Elixers, or the maple fretboard, but it has that really nice piano overtone, even unplugged.
