FS/FT: IBANEZ BTB 575

Sign in to disble this ad
Ibanez BTB 575 -

*Maple/ Mahogany/ Maple body
*5 piece maple/walnut neck; rosewood fingerboard
*Bartolini MK1 p-ups and preamp
*Protec gig bag
*$450 $400 SHIPPED

The bass is in excellent condition, a little playing wear but that's it. A surprisingly good-sounding, well-made bass for the money. The B string is outstanding considering the cost of the bass. Lots of bang for the buck in this instrument! Would also be interested in a trade for a higher-end 1-12 or 2-10 cabinet. Contact me at tgeroy@stny.rr.com with any questions. Thanks

I have a BTB 555 that looks exactly like this one. I'm not selling mine because it's an outstanding player. Highly underrated basses IMHO.

I agree, Andy. Highly underrated. Lotsa bass for the money. I'm just not using it much these days and could use a small cab for certain gigs.

Are you sure this is a BTB 575? I had a 575 in blue and it was a neck through. This might be a prestige and worth more.

A Prestige wouldn't have MK1 Barts in it unless they pulled the original Barts out of it.

However it does have the First Series Mono-Rail bridge system on it, which was on the Prestiges with this body type and top wood. (The original BTB's were offered with a pretty standard plain looking maple top).

If the tuners are Gotoh and it's Made In Japan, it'd be a Prestige. Ibanez didn't start making Prestige models in Korea until 2005.

A pic of the headstock and SN would be very helpful.

Nice bass either way.

PRICE DROP

Dropping the price to $400. And still interested in a trade for either a 1-12 or 2-10 cabinet. Please contact me at tgeroy@stny.rr.com if interested. Thanks
