I bought a similar bass and don't need two Ibanez 5ers. My loss, your gain.[/b]
9.2 lbs, feels very solid!
These are actual pics of the bass... NOT A MARK ON IT!! The SR605 features Ibanez' Bartolini MK-1 pickups and a 3 band EQ to give you a well pronounced sound that's easy to control. Other features include a 5-piece, Jatoba/Bubinga SR5 neck, 24 Medium Jumbo frets and an Accu-Cast B20 bridge. Excellent Tone for ANY type of music.
Treble, Mid and Bass EQ
Thinner neck with a thinner nut than traditional bass guitars
Lightweight, balanced, comfort-contoured body.
Scale: 34 inches, B-string sounds VERY tight!!
Body: Light Ash body with the Walnut Finish
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Inlay: Abalone oval inlay
Pickups: BARTOLINI MK1
EQ: BARTOLINI MK-1 (SR)
Hardware: Black THIS IS A NEW BASS! Only a few hrs of use. Never gigged. Walnut finish,(not plain light Ash), new Dunlop Straplock pins, and new Dean Markley Helix SS strings makes this bass scream!! GREAT MODERN TONE and can also be dialed in for any music with the 3 band EQ!! Trades I like are: Spector Rebop
Peavey Millennium USA
Lakland Skyline
G&L M-2000 (Nat Ash preferred)
Fender Jazz or Precision
Dean European Custom (Czech)
I will consider MIJ, MIA, Czech or basses. 4 or 5 string.
Ampeg amps.
Thanks for looking. $550 shipped or trade value of $600 No case.

BTW... This is NOT your cheapie Ibanez. (I send back two others to get this one that was just right in neck, grain pattern, and weight) Get as agressive as you want or mellow out to some old blues, your choice, but she is a fine fingerstyle or slap her silly!! You'll GET the tone you want!
This IS very well made and I chose to keep the bottom one, SR905, because I got a great deal. So I sell the new one, the one that should move first. Hopefully.

One thing I can say, there was a huge difference in tone between the two wood types. The ash ones exhibited extraordinary snap and articulation compared to the alder ones. I credit this to the uber-sensitive (microphonic, even) stock pickups. |

The perfect trade would be something with a classic "Maple/Rosewood/Alder" tone. Pau Ferro is nice also. 5 stringers go to the top. Cash deals are firm on the price. (Cmon, it is less than 60 days old and under 10 hrs use.)
Thanks for looking.
