FS/FT IBANEZ SR655PB, VERY HOT, *Relist*

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok. I had to relist this sweetheart of a bass. Since I first listed it, I've been playing it non-stop and the tone/playability is to die for, not to mention the LOOKS of this thing! This bass kicks A** and is WELL worth more than what it originally sold for. Most trade offers didn't move me,... yet.

The limited-run, only 150 imported into the USA, SR655PB has a 5-piece SR5 wenge/bubinga neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard that features classy abalone oval inlays. Its mahogany body has a poplar burl top and glossy finish for an incredibly attractive piece of natural artwork. Providing its impeccable low-end sound are two MK1-5 pickups, a MK1 3-band EQ, and an Accu-cast B20 bridge for easier string changes.

Ibanez SR655PB 5-String Bass Guitar Features:

* Neck: 5pc SR5 Wenge/Bubinga neck
* NeckType: SR5
* Body: Mahogany body/ Poplar Burl top
* Frets: Medium frets
* Fingerboard: Rosewood
* Inlay: Abalone oval
* Bridge: Accu-cast B20 bridge
* Neck Pickup: Bartolini MK1-5 neck pickup
* Middle Pickup: Bartolini MK1-5 bridge pickup
* EQ: Bartolini MK1 3-band EQ
* Hardware color: gold

$900 shipped w/gigbag. OR trade for... Peavey B-Quad, Lakland Skyline DJ - JO or similar.
I'm a working musician in a few cover bands, I really don't need a boutique-style bass. A really good neck is most important to me. I'll consider other brands also.

I'll keep her just the same, the neck & tone is to die for. I don't mind trading down for the right bass. Just looking to see whats out there.
Thanks for looking.
Hawk

String spacing @ Bridge is 17.5mm.
String spacing @ Nut is 9.5mm.

Weight is 8lb, 7oz... Postal scale.

Truss rod smooth as butter and works fine. Pro-setup, you might not need to touch it. Unless you slap alot. Plastic is still on rod cover.

String height is 1/16 AND 3/32 at 12th fret. No buzz, ANYWHERE.

I LOVE THIS NECK!! Great relief, business card fits just right.

Thank you for your inquiry and interest.
Hawk
