FS/FT: IBANEZ SRX 705, neck-through 5 string, loud MM style humbuckers, nice case

SOLD

This is a nice "high-end rock Ibanez" with neck-through and two awesome, loud Music Man style pickups with active pre-amp. Light body, heavy bridge. These are no longer made but were very highly reviewed. It's in great shape (no dents) but the bridge, knobs and pickup poles have some tarnishing/pitting and it needs a truss-rod cover. It comes with a very nice Ibanez molded hard case. It needs new strings but I figure you can put them on because I don't know what brand/gauge you prefer. This thing has killer rock tone and is very comfortable.
note: those are not blemishes on the front in the horn area(s), it's part of the woodgrain.

$275+shipping. No trades please.

How much does this one weigh - and can I get pics closer up of the tarnishing on the bridge/knobs/etc?

I don't have a scale at home but it is light for its size as it has the ash body. Also, it is a full 24 frets. I'll take some pics tomorrow when I get off work but the tarnishing/pitting isn't minor. You could easily put new knobs on and clean up the bridge though you would loose the crome look and end up with a brushed looking bridge unless you re-finish. She is a work hoarse for sure.

That was my thinking exactly.

I had the four string version, it was my first "grown up" bass. It absolutely killed. If anyone's on the fence about this one, go for it. You'll be pleased.

How long have you owned this bass? How is the neck? Has it been corrected numerous times (I ask because I see the truss rod cover missing)?

I haven't had it long. It was part of a multi-bass trade. The neck seems to be great. The previous owner said he lost the cover when he was adjusting it.
