FS only! - Jetglo Rickenbacker 2005 - Price Drop!

Selling My Jetglo rickenbacker. Its a great bass that I lusted after when I first started playing, being a big Rush fan and all. Years and years later, I find the sound is not for me, so I figure she needs a good home.

It was purchased for me as a grad gift around 2006. Its in great condition, only a few dings, which are shown on the photos. Neck is straight and currently strung with rotosound 66's. I have a set of tru bass black strings that I'll throw in too.

It has spent a lot of time in the case over the years. I believe I gigged with this only a handful of times while I've had it. I am the first and only owner. It has the vintage tone push/pull pot.

Asking 1450+shipping. Will ship across north america.

Thanks for looking!

Nice looking ric. You sure you aren't going to regret selling it? Sounds like you 2 have some history.

Thanks for the comment. I have kept it for nearly 4 years in the hopes of loving it, but the sound is just not for me. There are tons of people who love this sound and its not getting the play time here.

Im sure I'll regret it someday, but right now, I'm still on the bass tone quest.

How about a Type O Negative tribute (in other words, painted flat black & gloss green) Fernandes Tremor4 Deluxe (active) and a nice bullet-resistant vest?
Behind every joke, there's usually a half-truth...

I can't say that I understand any of this.

Slllllllllllllowwwwwwwwllllllllllllyyyyyyyy... here we go:
1. Type O Negative: a band from Brooklyn, NY, whose lead singer, lyricist, and ***bass player***, Peter Steele, died in April of this year. The band's unofficial trademark colors were green and black, the colors of the "Vinnland" flag.
His basses were painted flat black and gloss green, from his Alembic and Zon waaay back when, to the Eshes, to his custom Washburns, to his Washburn M10s (one of which I am in the process of building), to the Fernandes' which were built to resemble the Ric body shape but in 110% scale. We used to re-paint the basses, cases, and cabinets about once a week while out on the road when I was touring (but not as a perfroming member) with them. Ironically, the Fernandes Tremor Deluxes he used were not painted flat black, but were green from the factory.
2. The Fernandes Tremor4 Deluxe is an electric bass guitar with 4 strings. It also has EMG active electronics and is ideally suited to really heavy, knuckle-dragging melodic metal. Its original MSRP was around $1,500 when they first hit the market several years ago, though they can, of course, be found cheaper used. The last Tremor tribute I sold, a low-end entry-level Tremor without active electronics and a generic MM pickup, sold on Ebay for $740.
3. A bullet-resistant vest is intended to protect the wearer from gunfire.
4. A lot of jokes have a semblance of truth behind them. Breaking the joke down, particularly based upon my screen name "joshcop" in the fact that I am a police officer, I offered my Fernandes bass and a near-new $800 kevlar vest, in the hopes that: A) you are a Type O Negative or Fernandes bass fan, and B) perhaps, for whatever reason, you might need the protection of body armor or might know someone who does need it that you could sell it to and recoup a majority of your investment.
5. I apologize for the confusion; I had consumed an adult beverage on a night off and thought it would be funny to throw the offer out there, with odds similar to playing the Powerball lottery.

Hah, ok. I understood the tremor, but when type 0 and bullet proof vest came in, I got confused.

I guess I will say that trade possibilities must be a bass guitar, although protection from small arms fire sounds interesting.
