FS/FT Kawai F2B 110ks

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD SOLD SOLD For sale or trade my beloved Kawai F2B 110KS. Newer model with Schaller bridge and tuners. Plays and sounds great. Just had a setup and new ML strings. Cosmetically in good shape, has one scratch near the controls that has gone into the wood. Comes with original blue felt lined case - it actually is still pretty functional.
All original except for Dunlop staplocks. I hate to sell it - I need a fretless for the band I'm in. It was either this one or my 70's jazz - what a horrible decision.
I'll have some better pics up in a day or two.
Anyone who reads up on these will find out what great instruments they are. $675.00 shipped lower 48 Would consider trade for an Eastwood EUB-1, Fretless Jazz or other classic design, Corvette maybe - got to be fretless, unlined and 4 string - you might have to add funds / I might be able to add funds to make it even.

PENDING SALE TO stemadden - Enjoy!

There is a Kawai FOG (F2 Owners Group) in basses that has lots of info and pics, etc..
These are very well crafted, very nice instruments.

More Pics

I'll have more up tomorrow - I'll try to get a close up of the small, faint scratch

Alembic?

I didn't want to call it an Alembic clone or copy and offend anyone here on TB (some pepole seem to be a little sensitive and critical at times)- they have quite a few of the same features but are unique. Obviously not as high end - but a darn nice bass with a great "piano" type tone.

Great basses ... nice price!

I've had two of these over the years ... super versatile ... very well built ... uber comfortable.

A poor man's Alembic isn't too far off. These basses will either cure someone's Alembic GAS ... or ignite it!

Good luck with the sale ... it sure is a sweet one. Very nice Koa.

Trade possibility?

How about a CCI Mediums electric upright?

And do you have a case with the Kawai?

Thanks,
Steve

+ 1
I have owned a few of these. I LOVE the tone.
They did, however ignite my Alembic GAS - After that I decided that Alembics are not for me.
I would consider another FIIB, though. If I had steady income, then I'd just buy it...
