Lakland Skyline Decade active bass guitar with hard shell Lakland case
Unique styling, mahogany body, rock maple neck, rosewood fret board, blocks and binding on the Jazz sized neck, Lakland Chisonic humbucker (splitable to single coil) pickups.
Excellent active electronics with treble/mid/bass boost and cut, midrange frequency selector via DIP on the PCB, active/passive pull on volume knob, humbucker/single coil on mini toggle. In short, there's a TON of different tones you can get out of this instrument.
Bass is in excellent physical and visual condition with only very minor wear as noted here:
- Extremely small ding on tip of headstock. Can't really see it in the photo.
- Extremely small ding on side of fretboard binding.
- Minor marks around bottom strap button.
- What appears to be a finish crack by the neck pocket. It does not appear to go into the wood. I've attempted to photograph and describe it as best I can.
Always gets ooh's and ahh's and questions as it's very unique looking.
Case is functional, has one shell crack covered in tape, retention straps have come unglued (I'm sure they can be re-glued), and the lining has an odor I've never been able to get rid of, though it's not mold or must. Smells more of some light chemical or something, I've never figured out what it is. What is it with HSC cases and odors? I've only ever owned one that didn't have some sort of smell.
