I love this bass, but I really need a jazz bass for the new gig I have. The action is perfect on this bass, like most USA Laklands, same shape neck as the 55-94 and JO 5. Huge fat P bass tone, with a tight low B
8.35 pounds
35 inch scale
figured rosewood board (birdseye dots) on flame maple neck
Fiesta Red, the best finish I've seen
Nordstrand 5 string P pickup, vol and tone
mint green guard, with tortoise guard as well, plastic still on it, new
Lakland OHSC serial #01
the first BG 5 made (only five of these basses ever made according to Lakland)
$2500 plus shipping
Trades: 4 and 5 string Jazz basses only, might consider a 55-94[/size]
In the pictures what looks like a scratch on the bridge is a carpet fiber.

This is a P bass, P/J setups to me are blasphemous. Plus, I don't care what people say, once you had the J pickup the tone of P alone aint the same. |

seriously - I have a P/J version of this bass (in 3 Tone Burst) and can speak for the sweet playability of these basses....
the Nordie pickup really has that GREAT P bass sound and the B string is just added sugar!
Oh - and with the J zeroed out, i get a GREAT STD P sound....he he he!!!
Help this guy out and get him a nice Lakie J bass!!! Quote:

Buy this bass - you will NOT regret it! if you want a GREAT P you got it here.....
I played a few 5 string Ps of "another company" and they paled in comparison to the sound and feel of a lakland P5! Quote:
