FS: Lakland USA BobG P/J - PRICE DROP!

**PRICE DROP**
**No longer for trade. Sorry, need the $... MAKE AN OFFER!
Up on the block: Lakland USA Bob Glaub P/J

First, the specs:
-PLEK'D!
-Alder Body, finished in Sunburst
-Rosewood Fretboard /Quatersawn Maple neck, with the *Jazz Width Option*, it's the same neck they use on the Joe Osborn Model.
-Lakland Pickups, with the P/J configuration option.
-All other standard features of the USA basses.
-OHC, chrome p/u cover, case candy/tools

The Lowdown:
She has been on the road with me for a year now, and I have to admit this is one KILLER bass. The P/J pickups deliver that great punch of the P with the articulation and clarity of the Jazz bridge p/u when you want it. Very versatile. And the Lakland USA neck is simply amazing, feels like a vintage Fender that's been played for about 40 years, super smooth and fast. The frets have been PLEK'd, and the bass will take a very low action if desired (currently set-up with moderately low action).

With that said, I still don't think the P-bass sound is what I'm looking for. I just can't seem to get away from the jazz bass these days, so I need to find a new happy home for this Lakland, it deserves more love than I can give it right now.

Condition:
This bass has been played a lot for the past year, and it's in excellent condition, but does have a few unavoidable dings and a little pickguard wear. I have taken high-res photos to show every little spot. Nothing through the finish, just little bumps. Minor wear from quick string changes near the bridge. Other than these few minor cosmetic blemishes, this bass is in FANTASTIC shape. This bass has been in an ATA road case, so the OHC is in perfect condition.
**See PIC link at the bottom**

Price to buy outright is $1995 SHIPPED OBO!. This configuration sells for $3300 new at Bass Central. I'll entertain all offers though.

Thanks!! (USA sales only, no international please, sorry)

Pick-ups

Do you know if these pickups are the fralins or the Lakland-designed?
What year was this bass built?

Hey Greg-

This bass is a 2007 I think, but I'm not 100% sure. I can call them and figure it out if it's important to you. The pickups are the Lakland design.

I know, it's a sad day... I'm constantly on the fence with this bass, I LOVE the feel, but the P bass sound just isn't for me right now... I think...

I don't have a scale, but it's not much heavier than my 8lb MM, so i'd guess between 8.5 and 9.5 lbs. I can drop by FedEx tomorrow morning and get an exact number.

< sigh >... If only I gigged enough to justify a $2,000 bass.

That thing is sweet. Perfect blend of modern tech and old-school cool.
