FS/FT: Line 6 Black Variax 705 Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Now available is my Line 6 bass. This one is a gloss black 5 string variax. It's an absolutely lovely bass and it's in mint condition. Literally no wear that I could find. For those of you who don't know, this bass is not analog. It's digital and models 24 different basses. It works on individual saddle piezo pickups and sounds exactly like analog basses.

Specifications:
Alder Body
Maple Neck with Rosewood Board
21 Frets
34" scale
1/4" out
Digital out for connection to other Line 6 products
Volume, Balance, Bass, Treble, and Model Select controls

This bass come with all the original accessories (gig bag, manual, power cord, planet waves cable, allen wrenches, and XPS-DI box). As can be seen in one of the photos almost everything is still in it's original packaging.

As for the price, I'm asking $700 + shipping or $750 with shipping (whichever is cheaper for you). Of course, if you are overseas, I will ship it to you as well, but shipping is on you. For trades, I'm looking for a nice (read: not ibanez) 6 string bass (I'm actually hoping to sell this to supply my cirrus fund). I will also consider 4 and 5 strings, but I'm much less likely to say yes.

If you have any questions or would like more pictures, just let me know and I will get to you as soon as possible.

These have always tempted me. Not so much that they have the exact tone that the model but it sure gets you in the neighborhood.

They are fun, and they definately have a wide range of sounds. I find that to get the exact tone you need occasionally you have to switch your style up a bit. Take the rickenbacker sound as an example, I find you can't get the exact right tone out of it without using a pick.
