Make me an offer....you might be surprised
Let me start by saying that this is the best playing & sounding P bass I have ever played.....I've owned several....Mexico Japan & USA
This one kills all of them! I am a bit reluctant to sell it, but I just picked up a '51 P & fell in love with it.
This is a pretty rare bass. I have seen less "A" series squires around than JVs & SQs. This is the last year that the squiers had the serial stamped in the neck plate.
This bass has been played extensively & it shows. This one has all the Mojo

The hardware has a nice patina that only age will give you. It has its share of nicks & dings and on spot that the paint is chipped off but the wood is ok. The chip isn't visible from the front. Nice aged tint on the neck & the fretboard is rolled just like a really nice old P bass or custom shop bass. Frets are in great shape as are the trussrod & electronics.
The tuners are a bit stiff, but it hold tune very well so I didn't want to oil them.
Comes with a TKL molded hard shell case in rough shape but all the latches & hinges work fine and it offers good protection.

believe me it is worth every penny.
Trades will need to be in that neighborhood also or add cash.
If you are in/near Pensacola you are welcome to come play it in person.
This is one 25 year old beauty that your wife would be OK with you bringing home
